BARCLAY/SCOTT
ANTIQUES has been located at 4 Rohde Avenue in historic St. Augustine,
Florida since 1986, under the ownership of Joe and Pat Webb. Joe
moved his business, ANCIENT CITY REFINISHERS to Rohde
Avenue in 1984 after attending and completing furniture restoration
studies at Sotheby's in
New York. Barclay/Scott evolved as an extension of Ancient City Refinishers,
specializing in selective antiques. Furniture has always been a primary
focus and styles can vary from American Federal, c. 1830 Country
Primitive to European. Inventory is
usually
acquired privately and often comes with interesting history
or provenance. The
furniture is accented with antique decorative accessories such as
light fixtures, porcelains,
silver and one of a kind collectibles. Ancient City Refinishers enables
us to present furniture in a condition that is considerate of its
age and intended use, as well as offering restoration services to
the public.
In
1990, Pat became associated as an apprentice with a Personal Property
Appraiser and retired antiques dealer, who was a member
of Appraisers Association of America (AAA). After completing appraisal
studies courses with International Society of Appraisers (ISA) in
1994, Pat became an accredited member and has maintained that association
with
ISA offering personal property appraisal services to individuals,
attorneys and institutions.

Augustine, Florida. Open hours are Monday through Saturday, 9-5,
appointments only, Wednesday and Sunday. Enjoy our hand selected
